Caught a plane this morning around 11 and flew to Chicago to meet with Hemant. We got together for the first time at 9 PM tonight and Hemant and I told each other our stories .
Hemant has zero experience with Christian churches so his will be a very interesting perspective. We will all attend a Catholic Mass at noon tomorrow and he will do his first Church Survey. He will also blog on this site about each of his experiences.
You can ask him follow up questions as well and he will get back to you on those.
Hemant is bright, openminded, openhearted, and passionate about putting a human face on atheism. I have never thought much about atheism but according to Hemant they feel discriminated against in what they experience as a very pro Christian environment.
Funny to hear this perspective especially when many Christians seem to feel the same way about themselves. Not sure what to make of it.

And most people and the press don’t even care. [How often do you see articles about jews in iran?] Atheism is a non-religious religion. I don’t think it’s a majority “religion” anywhere.
