More on Falwell

I wanted to put forward another perspective on Jerry Falwell. This post by The Werewolf Prophet on the politics and faith sight “Street Prophets” speaks of anger, hurt, and ultimately healing.

So rather than vilifying those of us who dance on Falwell’s grave as part of the cost of healing from wounds he helped inflict, please consider praying for us instead, that we might step deeper into grace and finally into forgiveness, of ourselves, and ultimately of Jerry.

    Yes, Jerry did inflict pain. And for many of us who claim the name of Christ, we were ashamed and embarrassed by him again and again.

    But the “Werewolf Prophet” is right. We must forgive…going to pray now…
