I think making a joke about something “flaming” is immature and uncalled for.
In my opinion Christians should look towards Dumbledore as an example. He was gay, but did not practice his sexual desires/temptations since he was celibate.
I know there are many funny things we could say, but I think you need to keep it above the belt on this one. Joke with you blokes in private, eh.
I’m very close to a good number of gays and lesbians, including some folks who are very politically active, and I seriously doubt that the joke would be offensive in the broader gay community.
According to Merriam-Webster, the word “flaming” means “intense, passionate” or is an intensive, “flaming idiot”, “flaming liberal.”
This is not a below-the-belt kind of reference.
