Beth, a Christian, and her atheist friend Traci liked what Jim and Casper did so much that they’re going to do it too. Except, they’re going to Christian women’s ministry meetings.
They’ve already posted their pre-visit thoughts and plans over on our ChurchRater blog, here:
Their first meeting was last night and the second is this morning - I expect they’ll be posting about those soon, so check back. The link Beth and Traci go to Church (series) will retrieve everything posted in the series so far.

2…which nudges me to suggest a contest at the OTM sites to come up with a catchy title for Traci & Beth’s upcoming book…!

3I like the way you think, Eliza! I also thought it would be fun to hold a contest to find the most daring yet relevant women’s ministry assignment yet (not limited to the Hoosier state). I think “Beth and Traci go to Camp” could be a fun book about us going to women’s retreats. Yikes!

4Beth, actually there’s an emergent Christian women’s conference coming up in Oregon…and the feedback I heard last year was that all the women who usually hate Christian women’s conferences loved it because it wasn’t like those conferences usually are and they felt at home instead of out of place.
A number of ‘friends of Off The Map’ were there and will probably go again this year.
But it takes time and money to travel of out state - maybe after this book makes you rich and famous you could do that for the next one :)

6Where’s your faith, Beth? ;-)

7Not in hitting the jackpot through book sales. ;)

8Ok, fair enough - I’m fine with you believing it when it happens and not before!
