Siamang e-mailed me last week the sad news that he’s become too busy with work to post here on Mondays anymore. He’s hoping he can still participate in the comments sometimes.
We’ve really appreciated Siamang’s participation on here from the beginning. Siamang is one of the people who has made respectful friendly dialog possible here between Christians and atheists. Siamang, thanks so much for helping us create what we have here on this blog (and had on the discussion board when it was active).
Not to take away from the focus on Siamang, but just so you know: someone new will be posting next Monday. He’s an atheist and he’s friendly and you can find out more on Monday. Also, if you want to be a guest blogger on here, e-mail me on the contact form.

1Well, I for one hope to see you pop in once in a while.
It’s been good, Siamang! I’ve learned a lot and you’ve really helped me see things from the atheistic point of view.

2I have greatly appreciate the dialog with Siamang. He and I have butted heads more than a few times, but he has changed my mind about a few things and I appreciate the way he has remained respectful while disagreeing. I hope to hear more from him in the future.

You are one of the most interesting, truly curious and fair minded thinker/writers I know of.
You understand the art of being a friendly provocateur.
I want to thank you for all of us who have learned a little more about “keeping it real” from your writings.
We wish you well and hope you will come back and visit when you get a few minutes.

6Thanks folks.
This has been great fun, and a real growing experience for me. A very good experiment. I will continue to take part in the conversation both here and at Friendly Atheist. Just expect a good deal more gaps between my posting. My job is getting busy, and I’m probably going to be on a big overtime push for the next six months.
It’s not just the time commitment… it’s that work will now be requiring the front part of my brain. I’ll be around, but probably not in any kind of particularly deep conversations.
Take Care.

7Siamang,
Thanks for all you’ve done for me and others here, bro. It has been (and will continue to be) a pleasure to talk with you about this world. Please keep making time to give complex things simple explanations. Good luck with work (my kids love Meet the Robinsons). Thanks.

8What is it with work keeping us too busy to blog as much as we’d like? The nerve!!
